A brief History of Germany

When one mentions the word – Hitler, it is easily associated with Germany as he was a great power in Germany after WWI. In years of 1914-1918 and 1939-1945, Germany was in war and caused much bloodshed, lost of lives, destructions, and sociological impacts on the people in Germany as well. A video below will better illustrate the post-war situation in Germany.

Additionally, Hitler believed that Germany should be made up of pure Germans. Considering the fact that there are also Jews living in Germany under Hitler’s authoritarian regime, millions of Jews were murdered, or left to die gradually. Thousands of Jewish businesses were destroyed as well. This period of torture, was known as The Holocaust. Germany was never a country of peace.
Germany is also famous for its Berlin Wall, which segregated East and West Germany. West Germany had a parliament democratic system, where East Germany was a communist system. This separated many German families. As can be seen from this post, Germany is very much a war-torn country, and further on, we shall see how it has influenced the German’s culture.
